This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Marissa Vasquez by supporting students who share her desire to help others through nursing.
Marissa Vasquez was a loving daughter, wife, sister and mother, who lived a life full of empathy for others. The Marissa L. Vasquez Memorial Nursing Scholarship is set up to remember Marissa and her ability as a nursing student and in her LVN career.
Marissa studied nursing at Citrus College and used her passion for nursing as a way to channel her love for the people in her community. She graduated with her nursing degree in 2010 and worked as an LVN at (hospital name).
Marissa loved people and socializing she was known as a social butterfly, she loved going to disnelyand, the beach and to relax with her baby. She loved to cook and spend time with family. When Marissa was a child she enjoyed playing softball and dressing up for Halloween.
Marissas family has created the Marissa Nursing Scholarship to support the next generation of nurses who can make a difference in the healthcare field. Citrus college students with financial needs currently pursuing a nursing degree are eligible to apply. 7th Annual MLVSF GOLF Tournament
The annual golf tournament is to raise money for nursing scholarships. Our goal is to keep Marissa's, daughter, a mother, a sister, memory alive by helping aspiring students achieve their nursing career dreams just as she was planning for herself.
